This is a hoax. I repeat…this photo is not real. Ask your OBGYN if in doubt. Cool concept? Yes. Reality? No. Anyway, all I see when I look at this supposed fetal footprint that’s been making the rounds since 2004, is Where’s Waldo, or Wilson from Castaway.
I just wish people would stop making baby shower cakes out of it.
This photo is a rarity, but it is real. How do I know? Because the little girl whose foot is shown here is real. This photo was taken in August 2004 when my sister was pregnant with my niece. My sister was severely underweight when she got pregnant (78 lbs). I don’t know if her uterus was just thinner than normal or if it was due to the fact that she had so little body fat that made the foot print clearer. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl in November 2004. So, yes, this is possibly, but only in extreme circumstances. As it is, this is the only neat photo we have, despite numerous attempts to capture cool moments like this during her third trimester.

This one makes me insane–I refute it every time I see it. Most of the comments are all, “Oh, life begins before birth, here’s the proof from God!” Arrrgh. I’m not saying babies aren’t alive in the womb, but this is just proof of photoshop.
Exactly! I think I’ll make one similar, but with a pregnant belly and a baby’s face sticking out like that saying, ‘Hi Mommy!’. It would spread like wild fire and be touted at real, guaranteed!
