Fake Friday: Honey and cinnamon will not make your hip bones stick out.

honeycinnamontextcurated from Natural News (Image source unknown, but prevelent on the thinspiration tumblrs. If this is your image, please let me know.)

This very popular pin of a thin young woman with her shorts half-down taking a self-portrait in a mirror is being re-pinned with that quote above about using honey and cinnamon as a weight loss method.

If anyone who re-pinned it that way had bothered to click the link, they’d read an article, sans that image, about the purported health benefits of honey and cinnamon, including this quote:

The two biggest claims for honey and cinnamon are that they enhance the ability to lose weight, and they are effective against some forms of cancer. While these latter two claims are unproven, however nature does provide an amazing range of natural healing substances, most of which are untested by medical science. Relying exclusively on honey and cinnamon for either weight loss or eliminating cancer is not advisable.

As the man said, reading is fundamental. And people are idiots.

Name That Sperm!

Remember Beaver Babies, the vagina that turned inside-out to become an adorable baby?

Remember all the chatter lately about toys being gender-specific due to their color or the way they are advertised and yada yada yada now the Easy-Bake Oven is getting a make-over?

Yeah, well, having absolutely nothing to do with that, because we all know that vaginas and penises are suitable for either gender to play with, Kim of One Classy Motha has now added to her educational line of stuffed toys and created this delightful sperm doll.  Just like a real sperm, this cute lil’ fella emerges from a penis. A little bit of manipulation and voila…out it comes, happy as a clam!

Do you have a good name for this little swimmer?  If so, be sure to leave a comment on Kim’s site and let her know!
